Three Civic Associations which focus on land use, development and other aspects of our community are active in the Occoquan District.
This is Ruth Anderson's first term in office as the Occoquan District Supervisor. Supervisor Anderson is a retired Registered Nurse and a retired Senior Leader and Commander from the U.S. Air Force. She is currently involved with local and global humanitarian volunteer work, having led over a dozen teams to global locations. She is the past Director of the Brother’s Brother Foundation, Virginia Supply Program for the National Capital Area, a local non-profit branch organization that provides medical and educational supplies to needy communities around the globe. Supervisor Anderson and her husband, Delegate Rich Anderson, have lived in the Occoquan District for more than a decade and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
